Friday, September 10 - Walk a Thon
On Friday, September 10 there will be a school wide walk-a-thon to benefit the School of Fine Arts Renovation and Expansion project. The way it works is each person gathers sponsors for every step taken. If you participate you will receive a pedometer to wear and a form to log your steps. High School students can chart their steps for 2 weeks, and will begin walking this Friday. On September 10 there will be prizes for the classes with greatest participation, most money raised, as well as individual prizes too. These prizes include a limo ride to a school function, ITunes gift cards, and extra jeans days. If you are interested, a sign-up sheet will go around this week in your first period/homeroom. The Marching Band kicked off the walking during band camp in July and they walked 7.5 millions steps in 5 days! LetŐs see if any class can beat that!
